Hello Parents and Families,
I am writing to you with the esteemed privilege of serving the Argyle Elementary School community as school principal. I am grateful for the opportunity to build lasting relationships with students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders. I have proudly dedicated over a decade to public education where I held duties of classroom teacher, coach, specialist and leadership. Each role I’ve held throughout my career shaped my perspective on forming community, through immersing myself in every level of work at school to impact student achievement.

Assistant Principal, Shannon Alcairo
I am excited to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal of Argyle Elementary School. I feel very grateful to be part of the AES Family, and I can’t wait to work alongside everyone in our community. My goal is to ensure that all students and families have an educational experience where values and diversity are celebrated.
My journey in education began when I volunteered at my children’s school in Clay County. I enjoyed working with kids so much that I became a classroom assistant while completing my college studies. After graduating, I became a special education teacher, where I had the honor of supporting students with different needs. I also served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years before entering education, which sparked my passion for leadership and helping others.
I believe that creating a positive school culture is essential for success. Building strong relationships in our school community is key, and I am committed to ensuring that every student receives high-quality instruction from our teachers at Argyle Elementary. My vision is to prepare all students academically, socially, and emotionally for the bright futures ahead of them. Together, we will create a safe and supportive environment for everyone. I truly believe that with the right opportunities, every child can learn and succeed. By collaborating with our staff and parents, I am dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential. Together, we will continue to provide excellent educational opportunities and foster a culture of academic excellence for our Argyle Pioneers.
